Mano (Siddardh) comes to Chennai for a short stay. Vidya (Nithya Menon), A press photographer is impressed and get curious to know about mano as whenever she meets mano will be doing different work
Their relationship turns into love quickly.Vidhya Proposes to him, but mano tells he got married already to Renu (Priya Anand).vidhya dont belive what he says.she thinks he is playing prank.Mano decideds to leave chennai all of sudden. Vidhya follows him and met accident on the way
Story then goes to US, where Mano(his real name is ajay kumar alias AJ) a Doctor where he meets an accident patient Renu(Priya Anand).
Soon they both fell in love and decided to get marry,Ajay(a.k.a mano) mom comes to US to meet him and renu but she dies in deep sleep.
Ajay and Renu Marries but all of sudden Ajay gets a shock that he is diagnosed with terminal cancer(a form of cancer which isnt curable)
and he just has barely 180 days(6months) left in his life( now u can guess why its titled 180).
Siddardh plays two shades as a happy going guy in the first part and facing the agony in the second. He is very comfortable playing the first as that was always his comfort zone.
Priya Anand is one solid plus in the film. She excels in all ways;The way she mimics; her costumes and her own dubbed voice are all perfect.
Nithya Menon cute face with No heroine stuff. May be she playing girl falling damn easily for a boy and then running behind him for no reason still pains us.
Moulie play minor role as Mano house owner.Geetha plays his wife. Siddard's friend did decent act as RJ for SFO Radio Station in US
Plus of the movie is the when you think you have guessed the story of the movie the plot twisted and makes you feel you guessed wrong
Many can guess something happened to Priya Anand as she is missing in screen but real trouble is for mano
Script is a bit slow bit few twists makes it interesting.
Highlight of the movie is Rules kidayathu song and its cinemotography, Its slow camera work captures moments on camera.Music and Bgm should have been better,Character selector isnt that perfect
Ending is not that sad as it ends on positive note.
180 is definitely a different genre movie.
